Moving to Ireland has given me the opportunity of working with great families along those three years. I came here to learn English but this exchange trip gave me much more than I expected. Since a very young age, I took care of my siblings so I learned very quickly to be responsible. Once I moved here I started working for a family where I took care of three boys (aged 1,5 and 7) but it was only a temp job however it gave me the base of how childcare worked. Not long after, I started working for another family where I spent more than a year with. They also had three boys and because I lived in the house, the hours were a bit long but rewarding. I built a great relationship with the family and especially with the boys but unfortunately, I was unable to remain in this position due to personal matters back in my country. After several months, I returned to Ireland and got another job where I had to look after a 9-month-old baby; it was my first time minding just one child and I was able to give him my undivided attention but due to COVID pandemic I had to leave. Currently, I am living in Monaghan seeking a bit more experience in childcare and hoping in the future, to get a degree in this area. I am very interested in arts so I love involving kids into drawing/painting activities. I can cook and also do cleaning jobs.
