I have certificates in Life Saving, CPR and First Aid. I have experience in dressing minor wounds and injuries. I have completed courses in the safeguarding of children. I completed a stent of work placement in the A+E in University Hospital Limerick including the paediatric section where I gained skills and experience in first aid and life saving.
I provided care for children aged 6 months to 12 years, inside and outside of their home. I prepared healthy meals while performing light housework duties. I helped them to complete their homework and set up fun activities to keep them entertained. I ensured a safe and fun environment for the children meeting their physical, social and emotional needs. I cared for them infants, including feeding, diapering and dressing them encouraging independence as they grew older. I also had a period of work placement in the maternity hospital in Limerick where I partook in the caring of newborn babies including babies in the neonatal unit.
