About Me

Hi fellow parents! I am a professional and qualified early childhood educator. I am currently doing my final semester in BA (Honours) in Early Childhood Care and Education at the Institute of Technology, Tralee. Before I continued my study, I took two years gap to work and gain experiences with the little ones after I finished the course Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education. Throughout these two years, I gained working experiences with children at the age between 18 months and 3.5 years old. My experiences working with these age group of children include in/outdoor learning activities planning, teaching, field trips, bring-home projects with parents, routine care and training. Not only that, I also have experiences working with children with different exceptionalities, such as mild visual impairment, language delayed, language barrier, delayed physical development, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Osteoporosis imperfecta (OI). As I came from a multilingual and multicultural country, I am able to communicate with 5 languages and 2 dialects. There are English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese, simple sign language, Hakka and Hokkien. For sign language, I went through the beginner level course. Therefore, I am able to sign with simple sign language in an appropriate manner. I called myself an outdoor person, in another word, adventurous. I enjoy playing sports, swimming, camping (provided if I have a chance to experience it), hiking, travel and more. I enjoy having outdoor learning with children, for example, sand play, field trip and more. I see children as my learning and life mentor, as they always inspired me with their creativity, attitudes, care, love and more. I believe developing children as a whole, this includes their characteristics, knowledge, and skills. I enjoy working with parents and families as well, as they are always my resources to look up and know more about the children that I am working with.
