I have completed a four year degree in arts with child, youth and family studies which included modules such as child protection and welfare, child development, the importance of art/play in a child’s life, the importance of the outdoors in a child’s life etc. During the four years, I did one year placement with Foróige in Galway. I ran four youth clubs a week with young people ranging from the ages of 12-16, another programme with children with disabilities from Ability West and I took part in another programme with females from Dóchas. I have been Garda vetted multiple times. I have two little brothers and I have two nephews who I have babysat throughout their lives, I have babysat two other families/neighbours in the past few years also. I also volunteered in a primary school to help the children with their homework after school for several months. I have plenty of experience with children and I would feel confident to fill the role of a nanny. I enjoy spending time with children because they have a great imagination and I love doing arts and crafts, taking them for walks and outdoor adventures as well as helping them with their homework etc. I live in connemara but I have a full driving licence.
