Hi, I’m Katie! I'm 25 years old and live in Raheny, County Dublin, where I've done so for my entire life. I began babysitting/childminding when I was around 15 and have continued to do so over the following years with much enjoyment. I have a great love for children, which in part originates from the close relationship I've developed with my nieces and nephews. I'm a kind, caring, patient and fun person who loves to make kids laugh. I've cared for children amongst all the age groups, from young babies to teenagers and understand the level of care and attention they should receive. I love participating in reading, games, and arts and crafts among other things. I always push myself to discover new ways to entertain and educate kids too! I also partake in other tasks while in the care of children; including meal prep, putting away laundry, cleaning up after myself and the children, light housekeeping, school pick up/collection, bottle prep, nap time, etc. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Singles Honours History which I obtained from Maynooth University and am considering pursuing a level 5 FETAC in Childcare down the line, but for the near foreseeable would love to continue working in this position, that I take great pride and joy in. I have largely worked with four families over the last 10 years and have strong references I can provide as a result. I also live right near multiple bus stops and Raheny dart station, so travel is no problem for me. My previous position caring for a 4 year old boy has unfortunately recently come to an end as a result of the pandemic, so I am now currently open and flexible for any childminding position and would love to hear from you if you need one!
