Hi, my name is Javier and I am from Santiago de Chile. I arrived in Dublin in December 2019 and since January I have been both improving my English and working in a well-known crèche, in this work I have learnt a lot about kids as I have been working as a floater among all pods from the baby room to the pre-school room, what means working with kids who are between 6 months and 5 years old. In these months I have enjoyed working with kids in their first stages as my previous experience back in Chile was working with primary and secondary students. I hold a bachelor's degree in Education and in Teaching English and a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I volunteered as a firefighter for over 10 years in Chile, participating in the rescue and fire teams, and was also instructor of teenagers willing to become firefighters who were between 10 and 18 years old. I love working with people as a teacher, but more I enjoy working with kids and teenagers because beyond teaching or taking care of them I always learn a lot from them.
