About Me

I'm a mother. My son is in Transition Year in Kinsale Community School. I have over 25 years of experience in working in the child care sector. I have worked as a full time nanny, I have worked in the preschool sector and in the primary school sector. I have also worked as a self employed child minder. I have an honours BA degree in Early Childhood Studies. I have certs and diploma in child care and education. I'm also a qualified a special needs assistant. I specialise in taking care of babies and toddlers from 4 weeks of age. I'm currently available mornings and/or full days Tuesdays and Fridays.

Child Minding Qualifications

BA Honours Early Childhood Studies. CACHE Certificate in child care and education. CACHE Diploma in child care and education. FETAC level 5 Cert in childcare. Diploma in Special Needs Assisting. Certificate in Special Needs Assistance.

First Aid Experience

First Aid Certified. Paediatric first Aid. Manual handling and patient lifting.

Special Needs Experience

I have worked as a special needs assistant in the mainstream primary school sector. I have also had work placement in a special needs school. I have also worked as a home tutor in the area of Autism.

Experience with Children Under 2 Years

I have my own son. I worked as a full time Nanny... Infant was 3 and a half months old when I started... Full time position... 60 hours per week. I had sole care of a 4 week old newborn baby.
