I have completed a four year degree in Early childhood education and currently completing a masters in applied behaviour analysis. Along with my course I’m also a lifeguard, swimming teacher and aqua aerobics instructor I have been a childminder for over 10 years now and have experience with all age groups as well as children with additional needs. I currently work as a swim teacher and a substitute teacher and SNA. In these jobs I have worked with a wide range of ages from 2 months to 18 years old. I am responsible for lesson planning and ensuring that all the children I work with have a fun and safe environment to explore. I have always enjoyed working with kids as I’m really interested in the ways they interpret the world and how they learn new skills. I have an array of activities keep them entertained whether it be baking with them, using arts and crafts or simply just playing one of their games with them. I like the children to enjoy the time they have with me but I also ensure whatever task I am completing with them is safe. Finally I am a fully qualified lifeguard, this includes First Aid, CPR and AED. I am also a Qualified Rookie Lifeguard this includes First Aid and CPR. And I have a First aid qualification with the Order of Malta as well along with a level 2 swimming teacher qualification and aqua aerobics qualification, and Designated liaison person certification and Tusla children’s first cert.
