Child Minding Qualifications
I have worked with children of all ages in a wide range of settings, including Montessori classrooms, crèches, primary schools, and as a private nanny. I’ve also supported children with additional needs as a Special Needs Assistant and through ABA, which has given me the skills to adapt activities and routines to each child’s individual needs.
Through these roles, I’ve gained experience with babies, toddlers, and older children—supporting everything from daily routines and care, to schoolwork, creative play, and developmental learning. I love creating fun, safe, and educational activities that encourage children to learn, grow, and enjoy themselves.
First Aid Experience
Yes, I do. I have completed First Aid training, which covered how to respond to common childhood accidents and emergencies such as bumps, cuts, choking, burns, and fevers. I feel confident staying calm under pressure and acting quickly to keep children safe and reassured if something unexpected happens.
Special Needs Experience
Yes, I do. I have worked as a Special Needs Assistant and have supported children with a wide range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language delays. Through this, I’ve gained experience using ABA strategies, visual supports, and individualized activities to help children learn and feel secure. I’m patient, adaptable, and always focus on creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment where every child can thrive at their own pace.
Experience with Children Under 2 Years
Yes, I do. I have cared for babies from just a few months old up to toddler age in both home and childcare settings. My experience includes feeding (bottle and weaning to solids), nappy changing, establishing nap routines, and supporting developmental milestones such as tummy time, crawling, and first steps. I also love creating gentle, sensory, and play-based activities that support early learning and bonding.
