Hi everyone! 👋🏼 I’m Shannyn, I’m 25 and I have a Level 8 Bachelor of Education in Montessori Education from MTU. I’m available from around October/November as I am currently travelling ! I have over 9 years of experience caring for children, from just a few months old right through to 12 years. I have worked as Lead teacher, running my own playschool room in a Glanmire crèche for almost two years before I left for travels ! I also have experience working with children with additional needs through my experience in special education settings. I genuinely love working with children and building a strong relationship with each child, getting to know their individual personality, interests and strengths and supporting them as they grow and develop. I’m an active and hands-on person and I’d love to bring this into my childcare. I enjoy arts and crafts, messy and sensory play, baking, outdoor play, nature and creating fun, engaging activities around the children’s interests. I also have a full clean driving licence and my own car, which means regular outings and experiences can be part of our routine rather than children spending the whole day at home. Depending on their interests and age, this could include trips to parks, playgrounds, libraries, farms, beaches, nature walks and other child-friendly places around Cork ! I’m a non-smoker, reliable and genuinely enthusiastic about providing children with a fun and nurturing environment where they can learn, explore and have lots of positive experiences.
