I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education and have also completed a Special Needs course. In addition, I have completed training in Lámh, which supports communication through sign language for children.
I am paediatric first aid trained and have received training in the use of EpiPens. I am also familiar with supporting children with epilepsy and understand the importance of remaining calm, attentive, and responsive in any situation where extra care may be needed.
I am a qualified SNA and currently work in an ASD classroom, supporting children with a range of additional needs. I also have experience working with children who have physical disabilities and learning disabilities, and I am passionate about providing patient, individualised support to help each child reach their potential in a safe and encouraging environment.
I have experience working with children under the age of 2 and understand the importance of providing consistent routines, gentle support, and close supervision at all times. I am confident in helping with feeding, naps, playtime, and creating a calm, nurturing environment where young children feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.
