Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m 23 years old and from Ireland. I’m currently finishing a Level 5 certificate in childcare. I really enjoyed this year and completed 150 hours in a local crèche, where I worked with children aged 1–4 and loved the experience. As part of my course, I had the opportunity to take part in an Erasmus programme in Italy for two weeks. During this time, I worked in a playschool with children aged 3–4. It was a really lovely and rewarding experience. Although the staff and children only spoke Italian, I was still able to communicate and build connections, as everyone was very kind and welcoming. I have experience working with children in different roles, including a play centre where I helped organise parties, games, and food. I also worked as a Christmas elf in Airfield Estate, doing arts and crafts and helping in the café. I worked at a summer camp with children aged 5–12, where I supervised activities and went on day trips.
