I’m in my third year of studying childcare at UCC. I worked in a primary school with just the junior classes. While I don’t have formal qualifications yet, I’ve regularly cared for children in my family and community, including making meals, helping with activities, taking them to their extracurriculars and making sure they’re safe.
Yes during my placement I worked solely in the junior autism classes.
While my brother is five now, yes when he was a baby I looked after him significantly. I babysat for a family living near me with a one year old aswell.
