My name is Daniela, but most people call me Dani! I am a friendly and reliable childminder based in Carlow, who enjoys spending time with kids. Originally from Brazil, I am a native Portuguese speaker and fluent in English. I am married to an Irish man and have been here in Ireland since 2015. I have a bachelor’s degree and an MBA in Marketing Management. Although my professional background is within the corporate world, my journey in Ireland led me to develop my natural ability to connect with children. My first role here was caring for two young boys, later on I worked as a self-employed English tutor, teaching kids online in Asia and Brazil for about 4 years and more recently, I have worked in an Afterschool setting with kids aged 4 to 13. Beyond my professional experience, I am a mother, an aunt, and a grandmother; which gives me a deep understanding of children and family life. I am responsible and punctual, with a positive attitude and genuine care. I always try to create a safe, supportive, and happy environment where children feel valued. Due to family commitments, I need to travel a few times a year ( usually in Dec, Jan, June and July ), but I’m available to work during the other months. If a year-round arrangement isn’t possible, I’m available for casual or occasional shifts and will be happy to assist whenever needed. I hold a full, clean Irish driving licence, have my own car and am fully flexible regarding working days and hours.
