Child Minding Qualifications
Yes. I have over 8 years of professional experience working as a nanny and childminder in Ireland, caring for babies, toddlers and children up to 7 years old. Throughout these years, I have completed First Aid training, obtained my Garda Vetting, and I hold a full EU driver’s licence. I am also fully experienced with childcare routines, behaviour management, sensory play, outdoor activities, school runs, meal preparation, and supporting children’s emotional development.
First Aid Experience
Yes. I have completed certified First Aid training where I learned essential emergency skills such as CPR, choking management, treatment of burns, wound care, allergic reactions, seizures, fractures, bleeding control, and how to respond safely in emergency situations.
I am confident in staying calm under pressure, assessing risks, and providing the correct first response until medical help arrives. My First Aid experience is especially focused on childcare emergencies involving infants and young children.
Special Needs Experience
Yes. I have experience working with autistic children, supporting them with patience, structure, and consistency. My approach focuses on creating a calm and predictable environment, using clear communication, visual cues, and sensory-friendly activities. I am attentive to emotional regulation, transitions, and individual needs, always prioritising safety, comfort, and respect.
I understand the importance of routines and personalised support, and I work closely with families to ensure continuity and stability in the child's day-to-day life.
Experience with Children Under 2 Years
Yes. I have extensive hands-on experience caring for babies from 3 months to 2 years old. My responsibilities have included bottle preparation and feeding, introducing solids, supporting naps and sleep routines, nappy changing, bath time, sensory activities, tummy time, developmental stimulation, safe outdoor walks, and maintaining a calm and nurturing environment.
I am comfortable recognising the signs of discomfort, illness, developmental milestones, and emotional needs in babies. Ensuring safety, routine, and comfort is always my priority.
