About Me

Hello! I am looking for a host family to work as an au pair, starting according to your needs. Ideally, I would like to join a family between now and the end of January. In the meantime, I am available for babysitting, as I just arrived in Dublin and live in a shared flat that I can leave at any time. Once I find my au pair family, I will move in with them according to their needs. My name is Maëlle, I am French, and I will be 20 in December. I love working with children. I have a Bac ASSP, a diploma that allows me to take care of newborns, babies, and children safely. During my studies, I learned how to keep children safe, give them baths, feed them, change them, play with them, and offer activities suitable for their age. I also did three one-month internships in kindergarten and have five years of babysitting experience with children of all ages, from 5 months old. I enjoy spending time with children, helping them with activities, and making sure they feel safe and happy. I love watching them grow and learn. My English is good. I am not bilingual, but living in Dublin, I practice every day and also use apps to learn new vocabulary and improve my skills. I came to Dublin because I fell in love with the city during a school trip, and I want to improve my English because I plan to continue my studies in September 2026 to become a flight attendant. This trip is very important to me, and I really enjoy working with children. I am dynamic, responsible, and like to stay busy, so babysitting is perfect for me. My Experience

Child Minding Qualifications

I have experience with children of all ages. I hold a Bac ASSP, a diploma that taught me how to take care of newborns, babies, and children safely, including bathing, feeding, changing, and supervising them. I completed three one-month internships in kindergarten and have five years of babysitting experience with children from 5 months old, including caring for up to three children at the same time. Thanks to these experiences, I know how to adapt to each age and offer safe and fun activities suitable for each child.

First Aid Experience

To ensure the safety of children, I have also completed first aid training: PSC1 (Prevention and Civic First Aid Level 1) and SST (Occupational First Aid). During my studies, I learned how to handle different emergency situations with children, which allows me to react quickly and effectively when needed and to provide a safe environment for them.

Special Needs Experience

My diploma also allows me to take care of children with special needs. However, apart from my training, I don’t have much experience in this area yet. I am happy to care for children with minor disabilities, but if I feel that I am not able to meet their needs, I will let you know and I will not take the risk of looking after the child. My goal is for the child to feel comfortable and safe, just like me, and I always make sure not to take any risks for their safety and well-being.

Experience with Children Under 2 Years

I have experience with children under two years old through many babysittings, starting with babies from 5 months old. I have cared for children aged 5 months, 6 months, 8 months, 1 year and 2 months, 1 and a half years, 2 years and older, sometimes looking after several children at the same time. I have also completed internships in kindergarten, which allowed me to gain additional practical experience.
