Teacher assistant, ex-au pair in USA. 7 years of experience in childcare My experience in childcare began at an early age, working in social services at a hospital with newborns and at an institute with children with special needs. After high school, I worked in preschool as a teacher's assistant for two years. My main responsibility was to manage creative materials, monitor the toddlers' behavior, potty train them, and fill in for the teacher when necessary. I then moved to the United States as an au pair for two years, where I was fortunate enough to work for different families on the northeast coast. All kids were under 5 years. After I was babysitting for a year and a half in a shared nanny with two babies from different families since they were 3 months old. I worked full-time in all of this childcare, working approximately 40 hours a week.
