Hi there, My name is Chloe. I'm a 21 yr old college student looking for part time babysitting work during the summer. An eldest child myself, I always grew up taking care of my younger sister and my cousins. This led me to being a reliable babysitter in my family and community as I would often babysit my neighbour' children too. As of Summer 2024, I took the opportunity to work in Germany for 8 weeks as a camp counsellor in Camp Europe. This is a summer camp for kids between the ages of six-seventeen. Here I found my real love for working with children. My role was varied and included sole responsibility for eight children each week. I had to attend to their every need which meant I woke them up each day, brought them to meals and put them to bed each evening. I was in charge of these children's medication and they came to me with any well-being problems they may have had. As well as that, throughout the day I ran activities with larger groups of kids at the camp from sports such as badminton, volleyball or even archery. I also ran the creative programme which entailed me organising and delivering art classes for up to twenty-five kids each morning of the week for a few hours. I also volunteered for delivering the drama programme. This allowed me to engage with the children through drama games and role play. I really enjoyed my time at camp and especailly working with the younger children who I found I bonded the most with due to their large imaginations and ability to find fun in everything. I am also currently working on getting garda vetted.
