Hello! My name is Lia, I'm a German girl and im 19 years old. Since December 2024 I'm living in Nenagh. I came here as an Aupair. When things with the mom didn't work out, I left the family and moved to Nenagh where I'm living at the moment. When I was younger I always wanted to have a younger sibling. Well, in 2014 the dream came true. My little sister Matthea was born. From moment one I loved to taking her in my arms and carrying her around. When Matthea was born I was nine years old but even though I was very young I did everything I could. My parents taught me how to change Matthea´s nappies, to dress her and to feet her. Together my family enjoyed and still does listening to music, to dance along, to drive by bike and to go inline- skating. We love spending time outside. Also we do like watching movies together and to play games. Part of our family time is also to do homework with my sister. I'm trying my best to support her doing all of that, even though my dad is way much better explaining math then I am! ;) While I want to school I also had a subject called "Lesepatenschaften" where I went to a childcare to read to the kids, to play with them or to paint. I really loved going there because it was wonderful watching children in different ages. To see how they behave so differently but nevertheless get along with each other. When I graduated high school, I started a volunteering job at a residential group who have had a traumatic brain injury. They were in the ages between 35 and 66. Main part of my job was nursing. This includes washing people, giving them food and bringing residential to bed, all the things they're not able to do on their own. Also, I loved spending quality time with them. We were gone to eat some ice-cream, to drink coffee (which I'm really obsessed with) and we went to the cinema. The highlights of my volunteering year were for sure the trips. Once I went to Vancouver with my boss and one resident of the group. I loved to proof my English skills there and to see Vancouver with it's beautiful nature. My second trip was to Schwartbuck. A little town near Kiel. I went there with co. workers and six wonderful residents. We had a really great time together. It felt like family vacation to me! Alongside I was babysitting a little neighbor girl called Isabell. I have been babysitting her for a bit more than half a year. Together we went to the playground, we drew with chalk, played little games, read books and did some yoga. Really, we once did that. Isabelle has a little yoga mat and she taught me some yoga elements which was a lot of fun. She really is a lovely girl and I enjoyed every moment with her. As mentioned in the beginning I started working as an Aupair in December 2024. I took care of two wonderful kids. ( a girl, she is 3 years old and a boy, he is 10 months old) Withe the girl I played Paw Patrol A LOT! Which really was so much fun. I loved how creative the little girl was with all that fantasy. Also we loved dancing together, running in the garden or playing on the trampoline. The little boy is also a loving soul! He is smiling a lot while he was crawling around, watching his sister dance or while he was playing with his little electronically guitar. Sadly things didn't work out with their mum and me. We have two different mindsets on having an aupair and being an aupair. I came to Ireland to take care of the kids and also to get to know the country and the people. With the family I was living with, I didn't really had the time and flexibility to see parts of the Country and to meet new people. That's why we terminated the contract. I really want to stay in Ireland which is the reason why im trying to find a part-time or full-time job now. I'm really looking forward to get to know you. Thank you for reading my profile!
