My husbands little brother has Down’s syndrome and before we moved to New York, we lived with his family in New Jersey for 6 months. I would help care for Aidan and we would take him out on day trips quite often. We also had him in New York for 2 weeks while my husbands parents were away.
I nannied in Brooklyn New York for a little boy who was 7months when I started and a little over 24months when I left New York. I have helped with all of my siblings children throughout their different ages, from newborns to teenagers. This involved helping with homework, playing and cooking healthy meals for them. I also wild babysit for two Garda’s children in Kilcock while I was in college. They had a 5 year old girl and 9month old baby at the time who are now teenagers. I did work experience in a crèche.
