About Me

At 24 years old, I am a dedicated and compassionate professional with seven years of experience in caring for children of all ages. I graduated in Psychology from Positivo University in 2021 and have been working with children since 2017, especially those with autism spectrum disorder and related disorders. I possess solid experience in creating safe, stimulating, and nurturing environments, promoting children's educational and emotional development.

My Experience

Child Minding Qualifications

I completed the Therapeutic Companion Training Course at Singular Institute, which equipped me with specialized skills to work as a therapeutic companion in home settings. The course provided in-depth training in integrating ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) psychology with essential childcare tasks. This included not only the development and maintenance of daily routines but also the management of outings, ensuring proper hygiene, assisting with homework, and promoting overall well-being. Additionally, I gained expertise in supporting children's emotional and educational development within the home, fostering a nurturing and structured environment tailored to each child's needs.

First Aid Experience

I completed the First Aid Course at an Early Intervention Center in Brazil, which specializes in interventions for children. This course provided me with extensive knowledge in first aid, and I have documented my participation with photos as proof of my training. Taking this course was incredibly important to me, as it equipped me with the necessary skills to respond effectively in emergency situations, particularly when working with children. Understanding the critical nature of first aid in childcare environments reinforced my commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the children under my care. This training has been essential in my role, as it has given me the confidence and competence to handle emergencies with professionalism and care.

Special Needs Experience

Yes, as a graduate in Psychology with years of experience working with children with various special needs, including severe autism, paralysis, and other conditions, I have developed extensive knowledge and practical skills in addressing a wide range of situations. My experience encompasses managing risks and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, as well as handling tasks related to hygiene, nutrition, outings, and even adapting school assignments. This background allows me to provide comprehensive and inclusive care tailored to meet each child's specific needs.

Experience with Children Under 2 Years

My experience with children spans a wide range of ages. While I have worked with infants as part of my role as a psychologist, my most extensive experience with young children was when my younger sister was born. I cared for her at home for four years while my mother worked. During this time, I learned a great deal about child development, including stimulating her speech, engaging in outdoor play, taking her to parks, and teaching hygiene and daily autonomy. In my professional work, I primarily deal with children over the age of two, as this is often when we have a diagnosis in place. My experience extends up to working with children as old as twelve years.
