As a member of a big family, I have a strong appreciation of what it takes to create a nurturing and supportive environment for children. My name is Jimena from Costa Rica, Central America. I recently graduated high school and am eager to experience life in Ireland to expand my cultural knowledge. As a native Spanish speaker fluent in English, I'm excited to share my culture and language while also learning from yours. I have experience babysitting for my family and friends as I have always been told, I am gentle and patient with kids. In my home, we always enjoyed having a creative outlet and partaking in outdoor activities; this has fostered my ability to keep kids entertained and engaged in imaginative and enriching experiences. I am looking forward to meeting your family and contributing in any way I can. Since I was a little girl my family has had a big impact on my love for service. I was always surrounded by kids, from my little cousins and sisters to the children I would babysit for my family's friends. This made me develop a sweet spot and strong sensibility for their care and needs. I have also loved spending time with my family's elders as they have always been a source of inspiration and wisdom for me and my family. The time I have shared with them has shown me a real appreciation of companionship and solidarity. These reasons are why I would love to have the opportunity to help in any way I can.
