About Me
Hi! I’m Ciara and I’m 19 years old. I’ve just finished my qqi course in early childhood education and care and I am garda vetted. I intend on progressing on to university this September! I’ve minded multiple family’s over the years, as my mother is a full time childminder and the family’s needed overnight/ weekend jobs every so often. I’ve just completed 200 hours of work experience in a Montessori, which I gained experience with children aged 0-6. For a bit about me, I love music and play multiple instruments! (I love bringing my guitar along with me to minding jobs if the kids enjoy music/ a good sing song!). My mums favourite activity to do with the children she minds is arts and crafts, so growing up I was well endowed in fun arty activities to do with children!
My Experience
First Aid Experience
I was trained with Pearse college in first aid.
Special Needs Experience
I have worked closely with two non verbal, autistic children during my time in the Montessori. I also have experience working with a child with adhd, during my time minding a family. I also completed an additional needs module during my course.
Experience with Children Under 2 Years
I had to complete half of my work experience within the baby room which greatly benefited the knowledge learnt in my holistic care module and child growth and development module.
