I completed the initial teacher assistant course in 2009 and then worked in a nursery school for 2 and 3 year old children. Then, I graduated in psychology in 2013 and have worked with children in the clinical setting.
About Me
Dear family,
I'm Ana Lucia, I´m 34 years old and I'm Argentine. I came to Cork to study English and get to know its culture.
While I was studying psychology I worked taking care of children in a family home. I prepared the snack, played and bathed them. I also did cleaning tasks.
Besides, I worked in a kindergarten as a classroom assistant. I helped the teacher serve snacks, organize the room, greet and dismiss the children.
I was a volunteer at the NGO Oasis, conducting child sexual abuse prevention workshops in kindergartens and schools in my city.
When I graduated, I started working with children in the clinical office.
I consider responsible, punctual and empathetic. I enjoy spending time with children and I look grown.

My Experience
First Aid Experience
I took a first aid course when I worked in the kindergarden.
Special Needs Experience
When I graduated, I started working with children, adolescents and adults with special needs. The diagnoses have been varied, such as Autism Spectrum, Mild and Moderate Mental Retardation, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Generalized Developmental Disorder, Down Syndrome, etc. I have provided therapeutic support helping my patients integrate into school/recreational activities, develop their independence and promote healthy daily habits.
