Hi My name is Amy and I am 25 years old and I am willing to commute for available jobs. I have previously worked as a child minder for number of years minding children for Local families in my area on a regular basis. I have minded children in ages ranging from 9 months to 12 years of age so am aware of the different care needs and requirements for different ages. I have a full clean driver license and do not smoke. I am currently working as a social care support worker caring for individuals with visual and hearing impairments as well as intellectual and physical disabilities. Through my work in this job I have further enhanced my care skills and training overall and in specified areas of care requirements. During my time in this job I have completed manual handling courses , first aid training , fire safety training and cpr training with use of a defibrillator. I am also medication management trained and Garda vetted . As part of my current job role I have been required to assist those I care for with eating , toileting and personal hygiene habits. I am also responsible for planning activities and daily schedules for the clients I care for so am used to catering to the needs and interests of those I am caring for as well as sticking to a provided routine and schedule. I am qualified in pharmaceutical science level 5, social studies level 5 and am currently completing a special needs assistant course also. Although I love my current job I have come to the conclusion that moving towards working with children is the area I am most passionate and interested in.
