I am a fifth year student in St. Colmcille’s Community School and am currently seeking part time employment for my Summer holidays. I would be available to come to your home during the week and various evenings during the summer to mind your children. My ambition after I finish school is to become a primary school teacher as I just love working with children. As part of my work experience in Transition Year, I worked in the Educate Together primary school in Firhouse, helping to teach junior infants and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Last February, myself and eight of my classmates were selected to travel to India as part of Calcutta Connect where we spent a week in an immersion project teaching young children in a school in Panikali. I found my time there to be a massively rewarding experience. I am very musical and artistic. I hold many certificates in Musical Theatre in association with the Royal Irish Academy of Music and have received first and second place prizes in the Feis Ceoil Competition. These skills would be most beneficial when working with kids. I am also fully Garda Vetted through the National Vetting Bureau and Educate Together NS.
