Hello, My name is Andrea and I was borned and raised in Brazil but I am living in Ireland since February 2024. I came from a big Italian/German family where everyone used to take care of each other, especially the kids and teens in the family. Myself have two sisters, an older one living in Brazil with my two nephews (8 and 11 years old) and my younger sister who is living with me in Ireland. Back in Brazil I used to work as a Psychologist and Psychopedagogue since 2018 with children and adolescents. I used to help them with angry issues, organizational, solving problems, making decisions, social skills, depression, anxiety, emotional regulations, ADHD, etc...I used to get in contact with parents and schools all the time. My background in childminder started when I was 13 years old, where I used to mind my small cousins and after that I did some babysitting for some families. In 2012 I came to Ireland for a Student Exchange and worked as an au pair for two Irish families (Enniskerry and Sandyford), one of them I still have contact nowadays and can provide a reference letter if you wish. In my first year here I used to mind three boys ages 4 to 8 years old before and afterschool. Before school I used to help them to get ready for school and have breakfast and afterschool if homework sometimes and play games, outside, go for walks until dinner time. In my second year in Ireland 2013, I used to mind a 3 to 4 years old girl, I used to prepare meals for her, play with her, lighthousehold, go to the playground, to the mall, etc..sometimes I used to to babysitting as well.. Back in Brazil, as a self-employed, in my free time, I used to mind my nephews (one borned in 2012, the other 2015). So, I have experience with kids from early years to teenagers. For me is very rewarding working with children, especially in early years since they are learning a lot of new things...it is very important to be one more great model for them, one more person where they can learn good and important things.
