Harolds Cross, Dublin

About Me

Hello! I'm Estefania, but you can call me Stefi. Originally from the west coast of Canada, I've been calling Ireland home for the past 3.5 years. For the last 1.5 years, I've been immersed in life in Dublin, balancing work, studies, and the vibrant atmosphere of the city. I am currently studying psychology, with a particular focus on developmental psychology. This academic pursuit has provided me with a profound understanding of how children interact with their environments. Growing up bilingual in English and Spanish, with a Colombian heritage, I bring a multicultural perspective. This background enables me to connect with families from diverse cultures and offer valuable language exposure to children. My journey with childcare began at the age of 15, and since then, I've joyfully looked after children aged 0 to 12. I am comfortable with feeding, bathing, playing, putting down for nap, changing nappies, and whatever else the job may require. Believing in fostering a nurturing environment that aligns with developmental milestones, my childcare philosophy revolves around learning through play and encouraging creativity. Beyond my academic pursuits, I'm an avid runner and the proud initiator of a running club in Harolds Cross, open to everyone. In addition, I find fulfillment in community engagement, leading a women's bible study, and actively participating in a book club. While my First-Aid qualifications expired, I previously held them during my time as a national-level rowing coach from 2019 to 2021. Currently, I am actively working to renew my license in the coming weeks. References from previous employers or families are available upon request, attesting to my dedication and professionalism. In terms of availability, I'm ready for nannying, babysitting, cleaning, or cooking on Tuesdays (all day) and Thursdays from 5 pm to 10 pm. Residing in Harolds Cross, I easily commute by walking, cycling, or using public transportation to surrounding areas. When it comes to babysitting, I bring a blend of patience, responsibility, creativity, adaptability, trustworthiness, communication skills, energy, kindness, empathy, a sense of humor, safety consciousness, flexibility, respectfulness, and problem-solving skills. These traits ensure a positive and enriching experience for both the children and their parents. I'm genuinely excited about the opportunity to contribute to your family's well-being and create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for your children. Looking forward to connecting with you!

My Experience

Child Minding Qualifications

While I do not currently hold any official childminding qualifications, my extensive experience in childcare dates back to the age of 15, where I began joyfully looking after children aged 0 to 12. My deep understanding of child development stems from my academic pursuit in psychology, with a particular focus on developmental psychology.

First Aid Experience

As a national level rowing coach between 2019 and 2021, I was required to have my First-Aid qualifications. Unfortunately, since then my first-aid license has expired. I am hoping to renew my license in the coming weeks, but have not yet been able to sign up for a course.

Experience with Children Under 2 Years

As previously mentioned, since the age of 15, I was constantly looking after children between the ages of 0 - 12! I am comfortable with bathing, feeding, changing nappies, putting to sleep, and anything else that the job would require.
