Hello my name is Freaya O’Callaghan, I’m Irish and I am 24 years old student, to be graduated this summer from my degree in paramedic science. As a teenager and adult I done a lot of baby sitting within my family and outside of my family. I used to regularly baby sit two young boys and would go on holidays with the family. I worked as a gymnastics coach for 7 years working with all ages ranging from 2-18 years old. I was named the primary first aid responder within the whole gym. I was in the order of Malta which is a voluntary organisation that provide first aid at big events, concerts/boxing matches etc.. As I got older I worked as a carer in a variety of settings including disability/elerderly/mental health. This was mainly with adults however I do have a very caring nature over all and I feel this contributes. I studied in Glasgow for three years getting my degree in paramedic science. We get a range of patients on the ambulance including children and I’ve recently finished my paediatric placement which was based on a children's cancer ward. Which was a very eye opening experience. I’ve always loved being around and working with kids! I find it very easy to form good relationships and have fun.
