Hi, my name is Kate and I’m 20 years old. I have been babysitting for 3 years now. I have babysat children from ages 3 months-10 years old. I am also a volunteer at Foroige Youth Club for 1.5years now and work with kids from ages 10-18 years old. I just finished a level 8 (Honours Degree) in Politics and Sociology at Maynooth University. I am currently in a part time job in the area of Blanchardstown. *I can provide references for all things mentioned above* -I am patient - Reliable and responsible -Trustworthy and competent -Efficient -Good communication -And can also provide cooking and cleaning services I tend to hear that I am charismatic which allows me to get on well with kids. I also have a big family so I’ve experienced looking after children quite well. I like to take care of others and am super observant and skilled in risk assessments. I am interested in child development and enjoy playing with kids. There are no such things as ‘too difficult to handle’ in my eyes. It is all about compromise and meeting the needs of the child. I hope that I can bring great help to you and your kids. My availability: As long as there is sufficient communication in advance of shifts, I will make a way. If I am not available, I will convey it timely. I prefer to work morning shifts (8am-4pm), although if needed I work out of these hours, arrangements can be made. I prefer to meet with parents before hand as I acknowledge that the success of my role is based on the comfortability of your kids.
