I have comeplted the fast friends programme in Cheeverstown house where I went and visited the service users and we done activity’s together and went on daily outings to bowling etc. I also used to volunteer at my old horse riding camp where I assisted children with additional needs when riding horses.
worked fulltime in both the toddler room (2-3 years old) and baby room (0-2) years old. I have gained valuable hands-on experience working in both the baby and toddler rooms, which has helped me develop a strong understanding of children’s individual needs at different stages of development. While working in the **baby room**, I developed skills in responding to babies’ individual routines, supporting feeding and sleep routines, nappy changing, comforting and settling babies, and creating a safe and nurturing environment. I also learned the importance of patience, attentiveness and recognising babies’ cues and early stages of development. In the **toddler room**, I developed my skills in supporting children’s growing independence, encouraging language and communication, managing emotions and behaviours, and planning fun, age-appropriate activities that support learning through play. Working in both rooms has strengthened my confidence, patience and ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children and their families.
