Hi my name is Cesar and I am a student at Trinity College, in Dublin for a year on an Erasmus exchange. When I was thinking of what student job I could potentially do, babysitting and child-caring was the first thing that came to my mind, as it is one of the things I have the most experience in. Indeed, as a first child, I often had to babysit my little brothers when my parents went away for the evening. I started babysitting as a real job two years ago, when I started college, and I very quickly got the certainty that this was I was made for this. What I love about babysitting is simply the bond I get to develop with the child I babysit regularly, coming to pick him up from school and then helping him with his homework, and maybe cook up dinner if necessary. Or if it an evening babysitting, passing the time with a good board game and then a book when it's bed-time. My approach to the function of a babysitter is acting as a figure alternating between a caring big brother and an patient tutor.
