Hi my name is Megan, a final year midwifery student from Dublin and I am 22 years old. I have a C1 certification in French and I currently hold an A1 in Spanish. I spent 5 weeks during the summer of 2024 doing afterschool pickup and bedtime for a family (G2) in Dublin, for whom I still babysit on an adhoc basis, and would be happy to provide a reference from them if necessary! I'm currently looking for a position that is flexible around college! I am currently still on summer break but return to clinical placement the third week of September (until the second last week of October). I would love to find a family that is flexible with the hours that they need (I receive my schedules for placement at least 4 weeks in advance so plenty of notice into what days I am available) and I am available until the end of December☺️. I spent a year in France working as an au pair and studying French at a university over there (G10, G5, G5) to which I'd more than happy to discuss in more detail if requested (reference available) I also previously worked as an Au Pair in France during the summer of 2021, looking after 3 crazy kids of ages 4 years, 2 and a half years and 5 months. I babysat quite a few times both in Dublin and while I was in France for friends and colleagues of my host family. I'm comfortable with children of all ages and if wanted, exposing your little ones to French. I am fully garda vetted. To tell you a bit about myself, I love working with kids and getting to know their big personalities. I love going to concerts and eating out with friends and I love travelling and meeting new people. English is my native language and I speak french at a fluent level. I am comfortable with completing light chores, cooking meals and helping with homework. I'm hoping to find a family with whom I can be flexible in terms of my schedule. I am certified in CPR, paediatric and adult first aid and have completed a child safeguarding program.
