I am 30 years old and have worked with three different families over the past seven years, most recently caring for two children for four years. They were aged 1 and 3 when I began, and are now 5 and 7. I worked with this family for around 50 hours per week in their home and also accompanied them on two month-long trips to America. I am happy to provide their contact details as a reference, and I am still very close with this family and visit them regularly. I have my own car, so commuting is not an issue. I am originally from Donegal and am the third oldest of 20 cousins, so I have been around children all my life. I genuinely enjoy being around children and find it easy to build strong, trusting relationships with them. I am reliable, organised, and easy to coordinate with, and I am happy to follow your preferred routines and approach. I also have experience supporting children with additional needs. I previously worked with a family with two children with ASD, including a 4-year-old who was non-verbal when I began and developed speech during our time together. I currently work in a crèche supporting children with ADHD and autism. I am patient, attentive, and adapt to each child’s individual needs.
