Yes. I have a pediatric first aid certificate and I’ve also completed an epilepsy first aid course
Special Needs Experience
Yes, I have extensive experience with children with additional needs particularly ASD. I have also worked with other additional needs such as cerebral palsy, down syndrome, epilepsy, sight and hearing impairments and pmld. I worked as a pre school 1:1 additional needs worker. One of the children had profound multiple learning difficulties, epilepsy and sight impairment. The other child had ASD. As well as this I’m a children’s special needs yoga teacher. So have had various clients. I’ve also worked in different family homes as a personal assistant to a special needs child and duties included outings, play, any therapies they might be doing, personal care, dealing with challenging behaviour, providing healthy meals suitable for the child’s diet.
Experience with Children Under 2 Years
Yes, In Germany where I lived before I moved back to Ireland. I worked extensively with babies from 2 months to 2 years old. More recently I was working as a nanny with an 11 month old.
