Job Description

We need someone to assist about once per week, usually Tuesdays or Thursdays, with school collection at 2pm and 3pm and minding until about 6pm. Exact day each week would vary as our work schedules are, unfortunately, somewhat unpredictable. These hours are our urgent need at present. Boys are age 6 and 9. No special needs. Duties include school gate collection and supervising after school snack and getting homework started. Boys had a full-time nanny for 7+ years but she moved on after youngest started school as she felt they had outgrown needing her. She has a new job and visits the boys, but is unable to help at these hours. Must be comfortable with dogs (one small elderly rescue terrier). If applicant willing to start dinner (light meal prepping) or light child-related housekeeping tasks (such as ironing school uniform pieces or reminding children to pick up shoes and toys), this would be a bonus but not necessary. The school is 1.4km from our home. The boys are well able to walk this (we regularly do) but the 2pm and 3pm collection time mean that driving is often more practical. If driving, we can provide car seats but do ask that applicant have full clean drivers license. Alternatively, there is a bus between the school and our home.
