Mothers helper / afterschool support assistant

Friendly family in the Douglas/Carrigaline area seeking a reliable, caring and patient mother's helper for approximately 2 hours each weekday afternoon. Duties include: •Meeting my son after school •Providing supervision, support and companionship •Preparing a simple snack •Assisting with light household tasks such as tidying, folding laundry or helping prepare for the evening routine My son is a lovely child with additional needs, so kindness, patience and a calm, positive approach are essential. Hours: Approximately 3pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday (some flexibility may be possible). Essential requirements: •Reliable and trustworthy •Experience working with children •Own car and full driving licence •Own transport is essential as our home is not on a bus route •Garda Vetting preferred (or willingness to obtain) •Experience supporting children with additional needs would be a strong advantage This role may particularly suit: •A retired or part-time SNA •A childcare professional seeking additional hours •Someone with experience supporting children with additional needs Pay: Competitive and based on experience.
