Childminder / Nanny - Mount Merrion

Experienced Childminder/Nanny Required – Long-Term Position in Mount Merrion Co. Dublin We are looking for a warm, reliable and experienced childminder or nanny to care for our son Arlo from the end of August, when he will be nearly 11 months old. The position will ideally be three to four days per week, approximately 11am–4pm. The exact days and hours are flexible and can be agreed with the right person, but we would like to maintain the same regular schedule each week. I work for myself from home, so I will usually be nearby, while allowing you the space to build your own comfortable routine with Arlo. We also have a 9-year-old son, but the position involves caring for Arlo only. Responsibilities * Providing attentive, loving and developmentally appropriate care * Planning age-appropriate play, activities and outings * Supporting Arlo’s development, including movement, communication and learning through play * Preparing and offering his meals and snacks * Following his established nap and feeding routine * Taking him for walks and local activities * Keeping his play and eating areas tidy * Cleaning up after Arlo during working hours There is no general housework or family cleaning required. Requirements * A minimum of five years’ professional childcare experience * Strong knowledge of infant and early-childhood development * Previous experience caring for babies under one year old * Excellent references * Garda vetting or willingness to complete Garda vetting * Paediatric first-aid training, or willingness to complete it * Reliable, caring, patient and confident working independently * Comfortable around animals, as we have a very large but gentle and friendly dog * Looking for a stable, long-term position and able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule Pay is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. We are happy to pay appropriately for the right person. This will be a properly registered position, and we will take care of the necessary payroll and PRSI arrangements so that everything is set up correctly.
