Au Pair / Childminder needed from September

We are a friendly Irish-Tanzanian family based in Rathgar, Dublin 6, looking for a kind, reliable and energetic nanny or au pair to help care for our son, Myles, who turns one in July. Myles is a happy, curious little boy who loves books, music, being outdoors, and exploring the world around him. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with young children and can provide a warm, nurturing environment. About the role ● Starting: September 2026 (flexible) ● Location: Rathgar, Dublin 6 ● Hours: Approximately 25–30 hours per week ● Mix of home-working and office days ● Some flexibility required as work commitments vary occasionally ● Light child-related duties only (tidying toys, preparing simple meals/snacks, keeping play areas organised) What we’re looking for ● Experience caring for babies or toddlers ● Warm, patient and dependable ● Excellent references ● Fluent English ● First aid training desirable but not essential ● Non-smoker About us
I work with the Department of Foreign Affairs and my husband works with ESB Networks. We are a multilingual and multicultural family and would particularly welcome applicants who speak Spanish, French, Swahili or another language, although this is not essential. We are happy to discuss different arrangements, including part-time nannying, au pair arrangements, or a longer-term role for the right person.
