After-School Childcare & Flexible Family Assistant (Bray)

Hours: Mon–Fri, approx. 2:00–5:30 PM Start: September 1, 2025 Location: Bray (just off Sidmonton Road), 5-minute walk from DART and bus stops We’re a warm and welcoming family in Bray with twin girls starting Montessori this autumn, and we’re looking for a reliable, experienced person to support us during the after-school hours. About the role We need someone who can pick up our girls from Montessori at 2 PM (an easy 10-minute walk from our home) and care for them until about 5:30 PM. This includes walking them home, playing, offering snacks, and keeping them happy and safe until we finish work. On days when I do the pickup or take the girls to ballet, we’d love for you to flex into light housekeeping or house manager support — things like folding laundry, tidying rooms, prepping dinner, or running a quick errand. You’ll never be expected to do childcare and house tasks at the same time — we’ll always be clear about what’s needed. About us We live just off Sidmonton Road in Bray — a very easy walk from the DART station and main bus routes. We’re a kind, relaxed household and have had wonderful, long-term relationships with previous minders and nannies (happy to share references). We’re looking for someone who: Has experience working with young children Is warm, reliable, and punctual (school pickup is a must) Is happy to flex into light household tasks when needed Communicates well and fits easily into a family setting Is available for regular weekday afternoons starting September 1 This is a great role for someone who enjoys a bit of variety in their day and wants to be a steady, supportive presence for a lovely family.
