My name is Lauren and im 19. Im a Spanish girl currently working in Ireland. I consider myself to be a friendly and bubbly person to be around. I love working around children and watching them grow into beautiful people. I come from a family of Preschool and Montessori teachers, so from a young age I always observed and learned from my mother and aunts how to properly look after children. I am a big animal lover!! I have done dog walking and dog sitting. Im a kind, friendly and easy going person. Im hard working, committed and resourceful. I also consider myself to be considerate, polite and respectful with everyone around me. I do not consider myself a materialistic person and celebrate inclusivity and diversity. I studied in the American School of Las Palmas until the age of 15 and then moved on to online learning. I later on graduated and got my high school diploma, from IS Berne Switzerland. I have a large family with with lots of younger cousins whom I have taken care of on different occasions since I was 14. This has made me familiar with the needs of young children and the dynamics involved in taking care of them. I have also worked voluntarily as a classroom assistant for a private, international preschool working with children from nursery through to kindergarten, some of whom had specific learning needs. This helped me to become more aware of how to guide children in developing a wide variety of social, emotional and both gross and fine motor skills. This summer I worked as a teacher (ages 9-11), at The American School of Las Palmas. This was a great experience and had a great time with the children!! I am fluent in both English and Spanish (I am bilingual). I have B1 level French. Being an AuPair appeals to me greatly at this time because I get to do three of the things I love the most; explore and learn from new cultures, be in an environment with children and to further develop my skills through helping others.
