About Me

My name is Soraya, I'm 25 years old, I'm Spanish and I currently live in Sandymount. I studied a Law Degree and a Master's Degree in Law at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Until a few months ago, I was working in a law firm in Barcelona as a lawyer. But, in June this year, I decided to quit this job due to certain professional circumstances and to protect my mental health. After quitting my job, I decided to go to Dublin to improve my English. In Dublin (in principle, the stay is 6 months - from the end of August to the end of February) I'm doing the Demi-Pair programme, which consists, on the one hand, of studying an English course in a private academy in the mornings (10 hours a week) and, on the other hand, of working in the home of an Irish family (host family), helping with childcare and housework (20 hours a week and 2 nights of babysitting per month). I consider it a good way to improve my language skills, as well as learning new cultures and a different way of life. However, in my spare time, I would love to work as a babysitter, covering some hours if it's possible. I love children and I love spending time with them.

I have taken care of my niece full time (she's 1 year and 3 months old). I have also helped in summer schools with older children (from 2 years old to 10 years old). And, I currently look after a 1 and a half year old girl and a 4 year old boy.
