Experience with Children Under 2 Years
Now when my brother is born, I help to babysit him, changing nappies, bathing, going for walks with him. By the October time, I belive I will gain even more experience in taking care of a baby.
About Me
Dear Family,
My name is Magdalena. I am 21 years old and I am from the Czech Republic. I would like to move to Ireland for at least a year. I think going as an Au Pair is a perfect opportunity. I like children and I enjoy taking care of them. I adore their energy and how they are growing and developing their personalities and I would like to be with them in that stage of their lives. I have 3 younger siblings so I have a lot of experience with looking after children of all ages. I am looking for a nice family I could become part of.
I come from a big family. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother. My older sister Alex (25) went to Ireland 5 years ago as an Aupair and she really loved it. She is currently still living in Dublin and now studying to become a Midwife. Her story has inspired me to do the same. Ideally, I would like to find a family I could start as a live in Aupair and eventually switch to live out position and move in with my sister. But I am happy to stay as a live in Aupair too, if it's better for the family.
I have two younger sisters Mirka (17) and Lisa (11) and a brother Vena who is only 2 months old. I lived on my own since I was 17 and only came back home when my brother was born, after an unsuccesful relationship.
I was taking care of my youngest sister Lisa (11) since she was born. I played with her, went for walks with her, took her to the playground. I also did some arts and crafts with her. Later I always got her ready and took her to preschool and school, helped her with homework. Later when I lived independently, I would take her to my house for the weekend, take her for a trip and spend one on one time with her.

When I was younger my mum used to run an afterschool club and I often helped her look after the children, playing games with them, prepare activities for them, art and crafts projects, organising summer camps etc....
As I lived independently for the last 4 years, I am very independent. I am used to taking care of a household (cleaning, cooking, washing etc..) so I will be able to help out with these in the house.
I am very happy, friendly and cheerful person. When I first meet somebody, I am a little bit shy, but once I get to know them I am a great fun to be around. I have a lot of positive energy. I am also caring and emphatic. I am independent, mature and responsible.
I am very outdoorsy person. I like nature, animals. I like hiking, camping and canoeing. I would love to use my free time to explore Irelands nature and go up to the mountains for hikes. I also like reading books. I also enjoy to just relax and listen to swing music. I like to go for a coffee with my friends, too.
My first language is Czech. My English is intermediate. I can understand ok, but I can't speak fluently yet. I am able to communicate in English, but I need to improve my grammar. I believe being an Aupair will help me improve my language skills.
